Six Flags Annual Pass Guide: All You Need to Know Before Buying

Six Flags has made many massive changes in the last few years.

In this page, we'll explain what a Six Flags Annual Pass is, the different types of Annual Passes, and whether or not Annual Passes are still being offered at Six Flags.

What is a Six Flags Annual Pass?

A Six Flags Annual Pass allows an Annual Pass holder to visit the park an unlimited number of times throughout the year, on all days that are open to the public.

These passes offered benefits including complimentary parking, access to water parks such as Hurricane Harbor, access to special events, and discounts, which we will all cover below.

Six Flags Ends Annual Passes And Turns to Season Passes

However, it's important to know that earlier last year, Six Flags decided to move away from the Annual Pass and began offering Season Passes in their place.

Annual Pass vs Season Pass Differences

It's important to know that an Annual Pass is different than a Season Pass.

A Season Pass typically gives you access to that entire 'Season' for the year, while an Annual Pass will be valid for an entire year.

For example, if you purchase a Season Pass in July, it will be valid until the end of that 'Season' which is typically until December 31st of that year.

You'll want to double-check the terms of service for the Six Flags park that you're planning on visiting.

Types of Annual Passes & Benefits

There are three types of Annual Passes at Six Flags including:

Thrill Seeker Pass
Extreme Pass
Ultimate Pass

The main difference is that the Extreme Pass and Ultimate Pass allow you access to ALL outdoor Six Flags parks for the year, while the Thrill Seeker pass only allows you access to one specific Six Flags park.

Additionally, the Thrill Seeker pass has blockout dates, while the other two passes do not.

1. Thrill Seeker Pass

The Thrill Seeker Pass is the cheapest of the three options and is about half the price of the Ultimate Pass.

2. Extreme Pass

The Extreme Pass is the pricier option, but if you're someone who frequently travels and enjoys going to different theme parks throughout the year, this is a great option.

The Ultimate Pass is the most expensive option that provides you with every benefit that you can think of, for when you are visiting theme parks frequently.

Paying For an Annual Pass Using a Payment Plan

The Monthly payment plan, also known as 'FlexiblePay' is a payment plan that you can follow to pay for your Six Flags Annual Passes.

Rather than paying for the Annual pass all at once, it allows you to have the flexibility to split up your payment over several months.

You'll pay the same amount every month, for 12 consecutive months.

Select which Upgrades you want (if none, click 'Continue')
Review the Six Flags Annual pass monthly payment on the screen
Agree to terms

Pay For Your Six Flags Annual Pass in Full

FlexiblePay isn't the only option, however, as you can also choose to pay the full price instead.

You'll simply select 'I would like to pay for my Annual Pass in full today' and you'll simply review the total amount and checkout (rather than review the monthly payment schedule and agree to those terms).

How to Get My Annual Pass

You used to be able to purchase an Annual Pass directly from the Six Flags site, however, they are no longer available as Season Passes have taken their place.
