SeaWorld Fun Card Pass: Everything You Need to Know Before Buying

A Fun Card pass is one of the most underrated passes at the SeaWorld parks.

In this page, we will explain what a SeaWorld Fun Card pass is, which parks offer it, what benefits it has, how it's different from an Annual Pass, and when you should purchase it.

What is a SeaWorld Fun Card Pass?

There are two types of SeaWorld Fun Card passes. The first option allows unlimited visits for the current year to only the SeaWorld park at one price, while the second option can also include SeaWorld and Aquatica.

Fun Card passes are some of the most popular passes at the park.

They're typically only around $30 more than a normal 1-day SeaWorld pass, but cheaper than SeaWorld's Bronze Annual pass.

Which SeaWorld Parks Offer a Fun Card Pass?

At the time of this writing, only SeaWorld Orlando and SeaWorld San Diego offer a Fun Card pass.

SeaWorld Orlando Fun Card Options

SeaWorld Orlando offers both the SeaWorld park and Aquatica as Fun Card options.

Visitors can also simply select the SeaWorld Orlando park if they do not plan to visit Aquatica.

However, visitors will not be able to only choose Aquatica, as you can see above.

SeaWorld San Diego Fun Card Options

SeaWorld San Diego's Fun Card only offers the SeaWorld San Diego park:

How the Fun Card Works

You pay for a day, and have access to the park all year (except for blockout dates).

These passes have blockout dates, which means that you aren't able to visit on any day of the year.

Certain dates of the year (typically holidays or days that will be extremely busy) will be blocked out, and you will not be able to use your pass to get in on that day.

A Fun Card pass typically expires at the end of the year, however if you purchase the pass late in the year, SeaWorld may at times extend it through the next year.

This is something that isn't guaranteed and can change, so you'll want to double check their site.

An Annual pass is a little different than a Fun Card pass, as it will last you exactly 12 months from the day you purchased, regardless of the season.

So this means if you purchased an annual pass on July 7th, it will last you through July 7th of the next year, not just until the end of the current year.

Additionally, Annual Passes have dozens of benefits (depending on the type of pass) including free parking, free guest tickets and discounted Howl-O-Scream tickets.

Fun Card passes on the other hand, have no other benefit besides being able to have unlimited visits to the parks for the year.

If you're planning on visiting the SeaWorld park at least twice in the same year, a Fun Card Pass will pay for itself in under 2 visits.

Or if you're only interested in making the commitment for the current year, and don't know if you'll be able to attend the next year.

In this case, it will make more sense to get a Fun Card pass rather than an Annual pass.

If you don't care about paying a bit more money for perks such as free parking, discounted tickets and guest tickets, and simply just want to visit the park.

You can purchase a Fun Pass directly from the SeaWorld Orlando & SeaWorld San Diego sites.
