Does the Monorail Go to Disney Springs? | Explained
One of the easiest ways to make your way around Disney is by using the monorail.
In this page, we will explain if the Monorail goes to Disney Springs, what other destinations the monorail goes to, as well as other transportation options (both free and paid options).
Does the Monorail Go to Disney Springs?
The Disney monorail goes to many destinations, however, it does not go directly to Disney Springs.
The easiest (and free) way to get to Disney Springs is by taking the complimentary Disney bus from a Disney property and transferring over to Disney Springs.
Depending on what park you are coming from the steps will be different, however, you'll still take the Disney bus regardless.
Animal Kingdom to Disney Springs
The best free way to travel from Animal Kingdom to Disney Springs is by using the Disney bus service to the Animal Kingdom Lodge resort and then taking another Disney bus to Disney Springs.
Hollywood Studios to Disney Springs
The best way to get from Hollywood Studios to Disney Springs is to take the Disney bus to Disney's Port Orleans Resort, then exit the bus, and take a boat at the resort directly to Disney Springs.
EPCOT to Disney Springs
The best free way to travel from EPCOT to Disney Springs is by walking to Disney's Boardwalk Inn Resort (0.3 miles) which is about a 7-minute walk, and then taking a Disney bus from the resort to Disney Springs.
Where Does the Monorail Go?
The monorail goes to the following Disney parks:
- EPCOT
- Magic Kingdom
- Transportation and Ticket Center (aka Magic Kingdom's Guest Drop off)
It also makes its way to the following resorts:
- Disney's Contemporary Resort
- Disney's Grand Floridian Resort
- Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
This means that the monorail doesn't go to every Disney World park, most notably Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.
Paid Transportation Options to Disney Springs
If you are traveling with a smaller number of people, or you don't want to deal with waiting for buses, ride-sharing services may be a great fit.
At an additional cost, you can request a ride-sharing service to pick you and your party up and transport you over to the next park.
Some visitors would rather do this, instead of having to deal with some of the stops that buses will have.
You'll simply download a ride-sharing service app such as Uber or Lyft, and you'll be able to call for a car immediately, or even schedule hours (or days) ahead for pick-up.
MINNIE VAN SERVICE TO Disney Springs
At an additional cost, visitors can take the Minnie Van Service where the drivers are Disney Cast Members.
The Minnie Van Service is a Disney-themed car that can take guests to a Disney park in style (and comfort).
Each vehicle accommodates up to 6 Guests.
Guests will simply use the Lyft app to schedule their rides as they normally would.
However, they will select 'Minnie Van Service' over the other options (Lyft, Lyft XL, etc).
How it Works
To request a ride through the Lyft app:
Open the app and select Disney Springs as the drop-off location.Confirm your pick-up location and select “Select Minnie Van”
The app will then show a map with available Minnie Van drivers tracking the vehicle en route—along with an identifying vehicle number to help you spot your car
Hours of Operation
Minnie Van service operates from 6:30 AM to 12:30 AM daily. Hours of operation are subject to change.
