Cedar Point's Season Pass: Everything You Need to Know
A Season Pass is one of the most popular passes at Cedar Point.
In this page we'll explain what a Cedar Point Season Pass is, the different types of Season Passes available, what perks they offer, and how you can purchase it.
What is a Cedar Point Season Pass?
A Cedar Point Season Pass allows a pass holder to visit the park an unlimited number of times throughout the 'season' in a year, on all days that are open to the public.

Depending on which type of Season Pass that you purchase, it can offer benefits including unlimited visits to Cedar Point, free parking, Bring a Friend discount tickets, and access to special events.
You'll notice that it is called a 'Season Pass' rather than an 'Annual Pass' and that's because Cedar Point is not open year-round.
Types of Passes & Benefits
There are three types of Season Passes at Cedar Point:
- Summer Pass
- Gold Pass
- Prestige Pass
All three passes provide visitors with free general parking for the season.
Season Pass Differences
The Summer Pass allows unlimited visits to Cedar Point on regular days, beginning in May (2024) until Labor Day (September 2nd, 2024).
The Gold Pass allows visitors access to Cedar Point and Cedar Point Shores for the entire season and access to special events such as HalloWeekends.
The Prestige Pass is the most luxurious as it includes everything the Gold Pass offers plus Preferred Parking, access to VIP areas, early entry to the park, 1 Fast Lane Pass per visit, and Bring-A-Friend tickets.

Payment Plans For Season Passes
Cedar Point allows visitors to spread out their Season Pass payments over 10 months.
This allows visitors the flexibility to split up their payments, rather than needing to pay all at once.
Visitors will pay an initial payment, and for the next 10 consecutive months, pay a fixed monthly amount.
How it Works

How to Purchase a Season Pass
You can purchase your Season Pass directly from the Cedar Point site or in person at the park.
When Should I Get a Season Pass?
If you're planning on visiting the park at least 2 times in a season, a Gold Pass may be a good option as it pays for itself.
When Should I Not Get a Season Pass?
If you're only planning on visiting the park once for the entire season, it most likely will not be worth the investment.
Season Passes usually make sense for guests who will visit the park several times in a season.
Season Pass Upgrades
During checkout, visitors will be given the option to upgrade their pass with a variety of options (that will also last for the entire season) including:
- All Season Dining
- All Season Pass Drink Plan
- All Season Drink Bottle
- All Season FunPix
When purchased, Season Pass holders will be able to use these upgrades on every visit during the season.
