Storing your luggage when arriving at a theme park is not easy task, and this is especially true at Universal Studios.

Is Luggage Storage Available at Universal Studios Hollywood?
Formal luggage storage like what you might expect to find at a hotel isn't available at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Guest Services won't be able to hold your luggage for you and you generally might have trouble bringing large bags through the security checkpoints.
We don't recommend bringing any luggage into Universal Studios, but you might have some luck depending on the size of your luggage.
While Universal Orlando has a policy specifically stating you can't bring luggage into the parks we've been aware of a few occasions in which luggage is allowed past security, but this is specifically on case-by-case basis and requires approval from Universal security.
Universal Studios Hollywood doesn't explicitly have a written policy against luggage like Universal Orlando, but we still find it difficult to bring luggage into the parks, and approval from security will likely be required.
Even at Universal CityWalk Hollywood you aren't going to really find a place to leave your luggage, unless you're traveling with a backpack or duffle bag.
Your typical luggage more than likely won't make it through security, and even if it does, you really won't have anywhere to keep it.
We recommend keeping your luggage at your hotel or in your car if you feel safe doing so!
Is Luggage Storage Available At Universal Studios Florida?
The luggage storage policy and options at Universal Studios Florida is almost identical to Universal Studios Hollywood.
While lockers are available, they generally won't be able to hold any suitcases and are primarily designed for backpacks and duffle bags.
Guest Services at CityWalk, Islands of Adventure or Universal Studios Florida won't be able to hold your luggage for you either like a hotel concierge normally would.
We recommend keeping your luggage at your hotel or in your car if you feel safe doing so!
What Options Do You Have To Store Your Luggage?
The only options you really have to store your luggage inside any of the Universal theme parks or CityWalk is going to be a locker.
The largest locker at Universal Studios Florida is 12” x 13” x 16.9” and the largest locker at Universal Studios Hollywood is 21½” x 11″ x 16″. If your bags are bigger than the sizes above, then you're not going to have anywhere to store them.
Even if your bags do fit in those dimensions, we still don't recommend bringing them into the parks because lockers are limited in quantity, especially the larger ones.
If all lockers are in use by the time you arrive to Universal, then you'll really be out of luck and may not be able to enjoy the parks at all.
A backup option is to see if any of the hotels in the area are willing to hold your luggage for you.
There is a Sheraton and Hilton hotel right outside of Universal Studios Hollywood property which may hold your bags for you for a fee. We recommend calling them in advance to see if this an option before your visit!
Universal Studios Florida has a few different hotels on property as well which may hold your luggage for you.
The Hard Rock Hotel, Portofino, Sapphire Falls and Royal Pacific hotels are all options to consider giving a call to see if they have the space to hold your luggage.
You should always be prepared to pay for a fee for this service as well!
