Is Islands of Adventure Open During Halloween Horror Nights?
Islands of Adventure is open during Halloween Horror Nights, but you should be prepared for operating hours and procedures that are different from what you normally would expect.
While Islands of Adventure typically closes an hour later than Universal Studios, this won't be the case during Halloween Horror Nights.
Islands of Adventure will typically stay open for only an hour or two after Halloween Horror Nights begins.

What To Expect At Islands of Adventure During Halloween Horror Nights?
Islands of Adventure may be open for a couple of hours during Halloween Horror Nights, but you should be prepared for a few differences in your experience at the park that you wouldn't see on a normal evening.
First, Islands of Adventure will be much more crowded than usual when Halloween Horror Nights begin, and those without tickets to the event head over to Islands of Adventure.
Most guests who aren't planning to attend Halloween Horror Nights will head to Universal Studios first thing in the morning before going to Islands of Adventure later in the afternoon since they won't be able to access Universal once HHN begins.
While September and October are typically slower times of the year at Universal and Islands of Adventure, the rush of people into Islands of Adventure due to HHN causes the park to feel quite packed.
Another big change is the parking policy.
Typically, guests of Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure get free parking at CityWalk after 6 PM, but this isn't the case on any Halloween Horror Nights event date.
Arriving at the parks later in the day to take advantage of free parking is popular among annual passholders as well as guests who might be planning half-days at the theme parks.
During Halloween Horror Nights there is no complimentary parking and you will need to pay the parking fees no matter what time you arrive - parking attendants are often present up until midnight!
Finally, you should expect a much more adult and less family-oriented crowd at Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios.
While both parks are certainly popular with families during the day, as we get later in the afternoon and into the evenings you're going to start to see groups of adults outnumbering families and children very quickly!
This isn't a bad thing, but something we just like to point out as it's a big change from the crowds you typically see at Disney or Universal theme parks!
