Can You Ride the Monorail From EPCOT to Magic Kingdom?

Yes, there is a Monorail Station that you can find on the left-hand side as soon as you exit the EPCOT park.

However, the monorail will first head to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and need to transfer over to the Magic Kingdom Monorail, a process that takes around 15-20 minutes.

 

Ride the Bus Instead

It is much faster to ride the bus from EPCOT to Magic Kingdom!

With the monorail, you will have to take the ride to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and then transfer over to the Magic Kingdom Monorail.

However, if you ride the bus, you can head directly to Magic Kingdom from EPCOT without needing to take any types of detours.

How Long Does the Monorail Take From EPCOT to Magic Kingdom?

Depending on which Monorail that you are taking, times may vary but they are all in the 10 minute to 20 minute range. For a one way trip it can be as little as 10 minutes, and for a roundtrip it can be as long as 30 minutes.

  • Magic Kingdom Express Monorail: under 10 minutes between TTC and Magic Kingdom (under 20 minutes roundtrip)
  • Resort Loop Monorail: 15-20 minutes roundtrip
  • EPCOT Monorail: 15 minutes between TTC and EPCOT (30 minutes roundtrip)

What Are the Disney Monorail Hours?

Normal Hours for most of the Disney Monorails are 1 hour before the park opens, to one hour before the park closes. This includes the Magic Kingdom Express Monorail, and the EPCOT Monorail. The Resort Loop Monorail however opens at 6:30AM to one hour after Park closing.

When Does the Monorail Close?

The Disney Monorail doesn't often close, however it when it does, it's normally closed for maintenance purposes. This can be due to inspections, routine maintenances, and even upgrades. 

All of these actions result in a better overall experience for all Disney guests, as the last thing anyone wants to deal with when spending money at a theme park, is finding out that certain experiences are closed.
