Dollywood

Located about 3.5 hours from Nashville via car in Pigeon Forge, Tenessee is Dollywood.

Dollywood is of course headlined by the great Dolly Parton herself!

Pigeon Forge is an absolutely beautiful town in the Smoky Mountains and there really isn't a theme park in the world set in a more beautiful location than Dollywood.

The trip to Pigeon Forge from Nashville is worth the drive just for the incredible scenery and Dollywood is great bonus reason to visit - it's our favorite theme park near Nashville!

Six Flags Over Georgia

Six Flags Over Georgia is just about a 4 hour drive from Nashville right outside of Atlanta.

Six Flags theme parks across the country are known for their rollercoasters and thrill rides - Six Flags Over Georgia is no exception to this!

Between BATMAN: The Ride, Goliath, SUPERMAN: The Ultimate Flight and so many others roller coasters, Six Flags Over Georgia is a thrill seekers dream.

Carowinds

Another haven for thrill-seekers is Carowinds theme park!

Carowinds is much further from Nashville at a 6 hour drive in neighboring state North Carolina which lands it last on our list, but that doesn't mean Carowinds isn't a great theme park.

Carowinds is actually another one of the best theme parks in the country for roller coaster lovers, so a weekend trip to North Carolina is well worth it if you've been craving an adrenaline rush!
