How to Get From Hollywood Studios to Magic Kingdom
There are two easy ways to travel from Hollywood Studios to Magic Kingdom including taking the Disney Bus to the Contemporary resort or taking the Disney Bus to the Transportation and Ticket Center.
The best choice for you will depend on whether you want to get there quickly or have a more casual sightseeing experience on the way.
Each one has its pros and cons which we will break down below, however, they both include taking the Disney bus.
1. Disney Bus to the Contemporary - Fastest Option
Once you arrive at the Contemporary Resort, you'll head directly to the front of the resort and take the walkway that connects to Magic Kingdom.
It is about a 10-15 minute walk, and visitors can use this same sidewalk the entire way down to the Magic Kingdom park.
We've set up walking directions on Google Maps from the Contemporary to Magic Kingdom.
Although the walking portion makes guests skeptical at first, once they take into consideration the waiting times that are created from the bus stops, they realize how much time they can save with this method.
This route gives you the best of both worlds, where there's a minimal wait, plenty to sightsee on the way, and a direct route to Magic Kingdom.
The downside to this route is that there's additional walking that you'll have to account for, in addition to the amount of walking you'll do at the theme park.
Know That Disney Bus Stops Add Time
It's important to know that the Disney Bus has several stops to make, which visitors forget to account for during their planning.
On average, we recommend adding 30 minutes to your expected time when moving from one Disney park to the other.
Something else to be aware of is Disney Buses come around every 20 minutes, so if the bus is not there when you get there, chances are that you'll have to wait a few minutes until the next one shows up.
2. Disney Bus to the Transportation and Ticket Center - Direct Option
Visitors can take the Disney Bus that will take them to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC).
The Disney Buses can be found on the right-hand side once you exit the park.
The TTC is where visitors who are visiting the Magic Kingdom will park their vehicles.
From there, they'll take the monorail or ferry boat to the actual Magic Kingdom park, and that's exactly what you'll do as well.
Many visitors like this route as it's very easy to find and follow the directions on where to go.
The downside to this route is that visitors will have to wait for the Disney bus, and then have to wait for the monorail/ferry boat to arrive as well.
