What Happens if it Rains in Dorney Park?
In Dorney Park, the park remains open when it rains. If it is a light shower, outdoor rides will remain open but if the rain begins to pick up and/or thunderstorms are on the horizon, outdoor rides will temporarily close.
They will open back up when the weather is suitable to continue.
The rides that will naturally be affected the most by severe weather are the outdoor rides.
When it rains, the park will monitor the weather and re-open rides accordingly as the weather improves.
Dorney Park Refund Policy
Dorney Park has a 'Weather Guarantee' policy, which means if the majority of the main rides have a weather delay for 90 minutes (consecutively), guests will be eligible to return in the future without needing to pay for a new ticket.
The way it works is the visitors affected will have their ticket reactivated for a future visit.
However, the guest must return (and use that ticket) during the same season that they received the complimentary ticket.
