When you arrive at Carowinds, you'll realize that there are multiple options to choose from when it comes to parking.
In this page, we'll go over all of the available parking options, how much they cost, and how they stack up against each other.
Types of Parking Options at Carowinds
There are 2 types of parking options at Carowinds including:
- Single-Day Parking - $30
- VIP Parking - $40
Single-Day Parking will allow you to park in a spot for the day on a first-come first-served basis.
The later that you arrive at the park for the day, the further that you will be parked from the entrance.
VIP Parking is more expensive, but it guarantees you a closer parking spot to the entrance of the park, regardless of what hour of the day you arrive.
It's important to know that there are no refunds or rain checks for parking, so we'll typically buy it through the Carowinds app on the way to the park.
Single-Day Parking
Single-Day Parking is going to be your most basic and cheapest option at Carowinds.
If you don't mind walking a longer distance or plan to get to the park early in the day, you should have no issue with this parking option.
Single-Day Parking will be $30 consistently every day of the year, for one car, motorcycle, or RV/Camper.
VIP Parking
VIP Parking will provide you access to park closer to the entrance of the park, at a higher cost ($10 more) than Single-Day parking.
Many visitors don't consider how their feet will feel after spending all day at the park.
If you don't want to walk more than you have to and/or are traveling with small children, the VIP Parking option may be a good fit for you.
All of these parking spots are located very close to the entrance, near the handicap parking spots.
How to Pay For Carowinds Parking
It's important to know Carowinds is a Cashless Park, meaning that cash is not accepted at the parking toll booth or inside the park.
Parking must be paid with a credit or debit card.
You're able to pre-pay for parking directly from the Carowinds site or the Carowinds app.
How Can I Get Free Parking at Carowinds?
If you are a Carowinds Season Pass holder (Silver, Gold, or Platinum), parking is already included with your Season Pass.
