Are LEGOLAND Parks Open Year-Round?

No, not all Legoland theme parks are open year-round as some close periodically throughout the year:

  • Legoland California is open year-round but has shorter hours in winter.
  • Legoland Florida operates seasonally, typically from January to December or later but with some weeks closed annually for maintenance.
  • Legoland Dubai is closed in summer from mid-June through September due to extreme heat.
  • Legoland Deutschland closes certain weeks in winter.
  • Legoland Japan closes on selected dates throughout the year.
  • Legoland Malaysia closes for a few weeks annually, usually in February.
  • Legoland Windsor is open year-round but has reduced hours in winter.
  • Legoland New York closes seasonally after December 31st but reopens on weekends in late March, with full daily operations resuming in spring, while its hotel remains open year-round.
  • Legoland Billund is only open seasonally.
  • Legoland Korea is only open seasonally.

So while a few like Legoland Billund remain open all year, most Legoland parks observe some seasonal closures or adjusted schedules to account for climate conditions or lighter crowds during certain periods. Operating calendars vary by location.

Which Is the Best LEGOLAND Park?

In our opinion, the best LEGOLAND theme parks are

  1. LEGOLAND Billund
  2. LEGOLAND Windsor
  3. LEGOLAND Florida

The Billund location is the original park, which provides nostalgia and appreciation for what the LEGOLAND theme parks eventually became.

The Windsor and Florida locations offer the largest number of rides and attractions among the LEGOLAND locations, making it a no-brainer to be near the top of the list.

Ultimately, the best LEGOLAND depends on your preference.

Regardless of which LEGOLAND you go to, you’re guaranteed to have a wonderful time and experience with your family or friends.
