#10: The Cat In The Hat
The Cat In The Hat is a simple, dark-ride attraction at Islands of Adventure definitely geared towards families.
The ride is starting to show its age and is in need of refreshment in the coming years, but if you'll be visiting Islands of Adventure with small children then The Cat in The Hat is a solid attraction.
While not the most exciting ride at Islands of Adventure, kids will enjoy going on an adventure with their favorite characters from this classic Dr. Seuss book.
#9: Skull Island: Reign of Kong
Quite a shift from The Cat In The Hat is Skull Island: Regin of Kong, which is far from being family-friendly.
Reign of Kong is a mix of simulator and real-life animatronics that takes you through a giant IMAX screen and simulation of Skull Island.
While there are definitely a few impressive elements of Skull Island, the ride pales in comparison to others at Islands of Adventure and we wouldn't put it too high on your priority list!
#8: The Hogwarts Express
The Hogwarts Express is of course modeled after the iconic train from the Harry Potter series.
Boarding the Hogwarts Express will take you out of Islands of Adventure and into Universal Studios while traveling "through the English countryside" and experiencing some scenes from the Harry Potter films.
Just getting on the Hogwarts Express is a magical experience for Harry Potter fans, so if you're a fan of the series then we definitely recommend making time for this attraction.
If you're unfamiliar with the Harry Potter series (or just not a fan) then you can probably skip this one as the novelty of being on the Hogwarts Express is more the draw here than what happens on the ride.
#7: Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls
Ripsaw Falls is a great attraction for those who don't mind getting wet and are looking for some thrills.
Ripsaw Falls is a wonderfully themed and fun attraction that's perfect for a sweltering Florida summer day.
There's more to this ride than just getting wet, so there's a lot to see here and, yes, even though you will get wet we do recommend making time for this attraction.
If you want to stay dry then you'll need to avoid Ripsaw Falls!
#6: The Incredible Hulk Coaster
One of the most iconic roller coasters at Islands of Adventure is The Incredible Hulk!
The Incredible Hulk is an intense, high-speed coaster that has been a favorite of thrillseekers and coaster lovers alike for decades now!
The attraction recently went through a large refresh with new track pieces and other elements and remains to be one of the most popular attractions at Islands of Adventure.
If you love an intense roller coaster then The Incredible Hulk is a can't miss attraction!
#5: The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man
The Amazing Spider-Man is a popular can’t miss attraction.
You and Spiderman work together to defeat his biggest foes in this thrilling simulator chase 3D attraction.
The ride itself uses multiple screens to get the biggest 3D effects while sitting in a moving vehicle that features quick turns, spins, and with the trick of the eyes, have you feeling moments of free falling.
This is not considered a roller coaster and is considered a family-friendly simulator attraction that takes you on a fun adventure with Spider-Man!
#4: Jurassic Park River Adventure
Coming in at #4 and our favorite water ride at Islands of Adventure is Jurassic Park River Adventure!
River Adventure puts you right in the middle of Jurassic Park just as the dinosaurs being to break out of their cages.
This ride is definitely more intense than the other water ride on our list (Ripsaw Falls) and some kids may find it scary as the dinosaurs in the ride pop out at you in surprising ways throughout the attraction.
The drop here is also way more intense and steep compared to Ripsaw Falls.
That being said, it's a fun attraction with impressive animatronics that dinosaur and Jurassic Park fans are going to love!
#3: Jurassic World VelociCoaster
One of the newest, and most intense rides at Islands of Adventure is the Jurassic World VelociCoaster.
VelociCoaster has quickly become a roller coaster fan favorite attraction is has begun being regarded as one of the best roller coasters in the entire country.
VelociCoaster is incredibly intense and definitely not recommended for the faint of heart, but if you can handle the intensity, you'll be in for a treat!
#2: Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure
Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is one of the most fun and advanced rollercoasters you'll ever get on.
While it's not the most intense roller coaster, it's full of surprises that you aren't going to encounter at any other roller coaster.
We don't want to ruin any of the surprises, but prepare to experience movements you've never experienced on a roller coaster before, as well as coming face-to-face with Hagrid and other Magical Creatures!
It's a great attraction for both Harry Potter fans and non-Harry Potter fans!
#1: Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey isn't only our top pick at Islands of Adventure, but one of the best rides in the entire world!
This state-of-the-art attraction pushed the limits of technology in theme park rides when it first opened and still, today remains one of the most impressive rides you can experience.
A combination of giant animatronics, real-life set pieces, and a 4-D simulator, this adventure with Harry, Ron, and Hermione is a can't miss attraction.
We recommend putting Forbidden Journey high on your to-do list and making sure you devote a chunk of time to seeing this attraction.
Even if you don't like the Harry Potter franchise, you could very well find yourself calling Forbidden Journey your new favorite ride!
It's rightfully so one of the most popular attractions at Islands of Adventure, so you'll likely have a long wait to experience Forbidden Journey, but it impresses nearly everyone and is worth the wait!
