What Harry Potter Rides Are At Universal Studios Hollywood?
While The Wizarding World of Harry Potter might be a marquee part of Universal Studios Hollywood, there are only two rides currently in the area.
The two Harry Potter rides at Universal Studios Hollywood are:
- Flight of The Hippogriff
- Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey
NOTE: Unlike at Universal Studios Florida, there is no Hogwarts Express ride or Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure at Universal Studios Hollywood!
Flight of The Hippogriff is a more family friend rollercoaster that is relatively tame light Harry Potter theming throughout. It's a great rollercoaster for families with young children who want to experience a rollercoaster without too much intensity.
Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey is much more intense and is one of most incredible and technologically advanced theme park rides ever.
Forbidden Journey is a mix of animatronics, real physical sets, projection mapping and 3D screens which makes for one of the most immersive rides you will ever experience.
We don't want to spoil too much of the ride, but be prepared to come face to face with some potentially scary beasts as well as your favorite Harry Potter characters and locations.
You should also prepare yourself for more of an intense ride experince too.
While you won't be going upside down, you will be find yourself nearly upside down at one point, with many other jerking movements and minor drops which may be too intense for anyone sensitive to motion sickness.

#2: FLIGHT OF THE HIPPOGRIFF
Flight of the Hippogriff is fun, but it's very short and nothing too special.
It's a rollercoaster primarily designed for children and the themeing is very basic as well with most Harry Potter elements being subtle.
It's not a bad ride by any means, but if you're on a time crunch while at Universal Studios Hollywood, you might want to put Flight of the Hippogriff low on your priority list.

Forbidden Journey is an incredible ride that, despite no longer being the newest, has stood the test of time with its incredible effects and ride experience.
