What Are Georgia Aquarium Sleepovers?
Guests can book an overnight experience at Georgia Aquarium. When doors close for daytime guests, you will get exclusive access to Georgia Aquarium's world-famous exhibits:
- Ocean Voyager
- Tropical Diver Gallery
- Cold Water Quest Gallery
- Sharks! Predators Of The Deep Gallery
You’ll be assigned one of these four exhibits to sleep in front of.
Note: Guests are not permitted to select their preferred sleeping location.
What Is The Age Limit On Sleepovers?
There are two types of sleepovers at the Georgia Aquarium with different age limits.
Adult-only sleepovers are available less frequently throughout the year and are also known as Sips Under The Sea, where you get access to all main exhibits in addition to three alcoholic drink tickets.
The age limited for Sips Under The Sea is 21.
There are also adult sleepovers seperate from Sips Under The Sea, but still have an age minimum of 21 years.
Otherwise, the minimum age to attend a Georgia Aquarium sleepover is 7.
Why Should You Book a Georgia Aquarium Sleepover?
While visiting the aquarium during regular hours is still fun, it lacks the exclusive experience that sleepovers have.

- Non-members: $110.99 per person
Adults-Only Sleepovers

Adult Sips Under The Sea
- Members: $139.99 per person
- Non-members: $154.99 per person
Georgia Aquarium sleepovers are extremely popular, so book a few months in advance to avoid disappointment.

Note: Sales tax will be added to each booking. Sleepovers may be canceled if less than 25 guests are due to attend. Should this happen, you’ll be notified two weeks in advance and refunded.

- 6:45 pm - Check-in
- 7:15 pm - 7:30 pm - Welcome Orientation
- 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm - Behind-the-scenes tour
- 9:00 pm - 9:30 pm - Evening snacks
- 9:35 pm - 9:50 pm - Night-time orientation
- 10:30 pm - Lights out (family sleepovers)
- 11:00 pm - Lights out (regular adults-only sleepovers)
- Midnight - Lights out (Sips Under The Sea sleepovers)
- 6:00 am-7:30 am - Wake up, breakfast, pack belongings

What Animals Will I See?
Georgia Aquarium is one of the world’s biggest aquariums. It is home to hundreds of marine species, including but not limited to sharks, stingrays, jellyfish, penguins, and whales.

What’s The Minimum Age?
7 is the minimum age, but 6-year-olds may attend Girl and Cub Scouts sleepovers.
Where Do I Park?
Cars must park in the aquarium parking deck. Parking tickets cost $12 per car and are valid for 24 hours. Tickets can be pre-purchased.
Buses or other large vehicles must park in the Georgia World Congress Center Marshalling Yard. Tickets cost $62.15 per vehicle and must be pre-purchased.
Can Children Attend Alone?
All guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult over 21.
What Should I Pack?
It’s recommended that you pack light, only bringing essentials such as:
- Sleeping bags (sleeping mats will be provided)
- Blankets
- Pillows
- Sweaters/hoodies
- Pyjamas
- Toothbrushes and other toiletries
- Phone chargers
The following items are not allowed:
- Chewing gum
- Fishing equipment
- Weapons
What Food and Drink Will Be Provided?
Guests will receive free breakfast and evening snacks. The following options are available:
Evening snack: Bag of popcorn or chips, and fruit snacks.
Breakfast: Cheese and egg biscuits, fresh fruit, tater tots, and water, juice, or coffee.
You will be also given a bottle of water, which you may refill at any of the water refill stations dotted around the aquarium.
Does Georgia Aquarium Cater to Special Dietary Requirements?
Gluten-free options are available upon request. Currently, there are no dairy-free or vegan options. The food is prepared in a kitchen where nuts may be present.
If you have special dietary requirements, you are allowed to bring your own food but won’t be permitted to use a refrigerator. There is a café on site that may have suitable food options but this will only open after the sleepover ends.
Is Alcohol Permitted?
Guests are not allowed to bring their own alcohol.
Adults (21+) may drink alcohol onsite if attending a Sips Under The Sea sleepover, but will not be allowed to take alcohol back to their sleeping quarters. Intoxicated guests may be told to leave.
Can I Rent Out The Aquarium?
You can book the whole aquarium for yourself if your party consists of at least 40 people aged 6 and over. Call 404-581-4000 to check availability.
