Does Universal Studios Florida Have A Christmas Event?
Yes! Universal Studios Florida has three main Christmas events that take place during most of November and December each year.
Outside of decorating the theme park with Christmas decorations, the Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s, Manheim Steamroller Concerts, and Christmas in the Wizarding World are the major events that take place at Universal Studios Florida during the holiday season.
Universal's Holiday Parade features massive balloons similar to what you see at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City as well as a variety of different floats.
All of these different parade elements of course feature your favorite Universal Studios' icones and characters like Sponge Bob and Minions.
You'll see some classic floats and balloons like giant gingerbread men and nutcrackers too!
Christmas in the Wizarding World is another seasonal event that takes place at both Diagon Alley at Universal Studios as well as Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure.
Diagon Alley becomes decked out in magical Christmas decorations and Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees put on a show featuring holiday tunes with a wizarding twist.
And of course,... hot Butterbeer is in ample supply!
Last, but not least, Manheim Steamroller will be at Universal Studios on select dates to play some of the most iconic Christmas songs live!
Does Islands of Adventure Have A Christmas Event?
Islands of Adventure also has two Christmas-themed events!
Just like at Universal Studios Florida, you can experience Christmas in the Wizarding World and Hogsmeade lit up with Christmas decorations!
Each night Hogwarts Castle comes to life with The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle show which features laser projections and fireworks multiple times each evening.
The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle is one of our favorite shows of all time at Islands of Adventure, so we always recommend seeing it during the holidays!
Islands of Adventure is also home to Grinchmas!
Seuss Landing converts over to a miniature Whoville each year in a retelling of How The Grinch Stole Christmas show as well as opportunities to meet The Grinch himself.
The best part about Christmas at Islands of Adventure is Christmas in the Wizarding World and Grinchmas are included with every general admission ticket!
No extra event-specific tickets are needed to experience these holiday events.
Does Universal Studios Hollywood Have A Christmas Event?
Universal Studios Hollywood has the best of both worlds and is to the two most popular Christmas events: Grinchmas and Christmas in the Wizarding World.
Grinchmas includes meet and greets with the Grinch as well as the citizens of Whoville throughout the day at Universal Studios Plaza.
Universal Studios Plaza becomes a miniature Whoville featuring a whacky Christmas tree straight out of the How The Grinch Stole Christmas book with a nightly tree lighting ceremony.
You'll also be able to enjoy a retelling of How The Grinch Stole Christmas during the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular show.
Just like in Florida, Hogsmeade Village will be decked out with Christmas decorations, but with a different show called The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle.
Laser projections will light up Hogwarts Castle with beautiful imagery from the Harry Potter books, but no fireworks will occur at this nighttime show.
With or without fireworks, The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle is a fantastic show and feels extra special when surrounded by Christmas decorations in Hogsmeade and a slight chill in the air!
