Can You Upgrade Your Universal Ticket to Park to Park? | Explained
If you've purchased a base ticket (one park per day), and end up changing your mind and want to upgrade to a park-to-park ticket or an Annual Pass, is it possible?
In this page, we will explain whether or not you can upgrade your Universal ticket, and if so, exactly how to do it.
Can You Upgrade Your Universal Ticket to Park to Park or an Annual Pass?
Yes, you can upgrade your Universal base ticket (aka one park per day) to a Park to Park ticket or even to a Season/Annual Pass by visiting Guest Services with your ticket confirmation and identification before leaving the park.
Guest Services will then provide you a credit for the cost of your current ticket towards the upgraded ticket/pass, and you'll simply pay the difference.
It's important to know that when upgrading tickets, the remaining balance must be paid in full, as it's not valid for Universal’s Flexible Payment option (their monthly payment option).
Price Differences to Expect When Upgrading
For a 1 day ticket, you can expect to pay around a $55 difference when you upgrade your base ticket to park to park.
What is Universal's Park-to-Park Ticket?
A Park to Park ticket allows you admission to both Universal Orlando Resort and Islands of Adventure.
Visitors have the freedom to go in and out of the parks as much as they want, just simply scan your ticket on the way in.
Park to Park tickets normally offer both 1-day options and multi-day options.
Depending on which ticket you purchase, you'll want to double-check the expiration date, as the ticket will expire in full on the expiration date printed on the ticket.
Theme Parks May Use Different Names
Every theme park has its own label of what they choose to name these ticket options.
Universal calls them 'Park to Park tickets', whereas Disney calls them 'Park Hopper tickets'.
