At 28 miles per hour, Thunder Mountain certainly feels a whole lot faster than it actually is and is the 5th fastest ride at Disneyland!
This outdoor thrill ride is a favorite of many and despite only being the 5th fastest ride at Disneyland, the many drops and steep turns of Thunder Mountain make it feel much more intense than the 28 miles per hour indicate.
FUN FACT: There are 4 Thunder Mountains across the world (Disneyland Paris, Disneyland Tokyo, Magic Kingdom, and Disneyland)! The ride is inspired by Bryce Canyon.
Space Mountain
Coming in at fourth place is Space Mountain which zooms through the stars at 35 miles per hour.
Because Space Mountain takes place in the dark, it's hard to get a sense of just how fast you're going especially in such a tight space.
Space Mountain is actually the fastest ride at Disneyland Park, as the next three rides on our list are at California Adventure, the other park at Disneyland Resort!

Believe it or not, Guardians of the Galaxy drops you (and raises you) at speeds topping out at 39 miles per hour.
While we didn't include Splash Mountain on this list, which can sometimes reach up to 40 miles per hour on the finale drop, we've included Guardians of the Galaxy because you are dropped multiple times and even raised at fast speeds!

Topping out at 40 miles per hour is Radiator Springs Racers, located in Cars Land at California Adventure.
Radiator Springs is also one of the most popular rides at the Disneyland Resort for its innovative thrill-ride, dark-ride combo which truly makes you feel like you're in the middle of a Cars movie.
Don't let the 40-mile-per-hour speed scare you as Radiator Springs Racers doesn't feel too intense and is a great ride for both kids and adults.

Incredicoaster
Topping the list of the fastest rides at Disneyland Resort is the Incredicoaster, with speeds reaching 55 miles per hour!
Not only is the Incredicoaster the fastest ride, but it's also the only ride between Disneyland and California Adventure to have a full loop inversion!
One of the highlights of this ride is its launch system, which sends all 24 riders in the vehicle from 0 to 55 MPH in just under 4.5 seconds.
FUN FACTS: The tubes you see parts of the ride track enclosed in are to reduce the coaster's roar and people's screams from traveling too far into the nearby neighborhoods.
