Universal Orlando Offers Up Plenty of Frights for Halloween Horror Nights

It’s the most frightfully fun time of year as Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights begins tomorrow night! They’re back, and bigger than ever with more houses than ever before! Although this is a separate, ticketed event, the scares are definitely worth the price!

This year, Universal decided they weren’t holding back, and decided to release TEN houses, and five scare zones, more than they’ve ever had in previous years. And the houses they have are scary good. Stranger Things, Halloween: The Return of Michael Myers, Poltergeist, and Trick R Treat are just a few of the spectacular houses they’ve come up with this year. Add those to the scare zones they’ve set up (Revenge of Chucky and Killer Klowns from Outer Space just to name a few), and the Academy of Villains show and you’re in for a frightfully spooky treat!

With the addition of the extra houses this year, it’s going to be hard to see everything or to even get into every house in one night. To help with this, Universal offers an Express Pass that allows you to skip the lines one time per house, as well as skip ride lines if you choose to do rides as well. I will say that this can be pricey, as the Express Pass is an additional $80-$120 (on top of the Halloween Horror Nights ticket) depending on what night you go. If you’re only doing one night though, I would definitely recommend splurging on the Pass because lines can be extremely long and you probably won’t be able to do and see everything in the few hours you have.

Not for the faint of heart, Halloween Horror Nights is by far the most popular Halloween event in Orlando, and for good reason! Top of the line haunted houses, entertaining shows, and tons of spooks and screams await you at Universal Studios. Be quick though–they’ve already added two extra nights due to popular demand, so grab your tickets while you can…if you dare!
