What is the Nationals Park Bag Policy?
Visitors are allowed to bring a clear bag into Nationals Park. Clear bags can be of a larger size, but must be no larger than 16" x 16" x 8".
If the bag is not transparent/clear, the bag size must be 5" by 7" by ¾" or smaller.
A person is only allowed to bring an approved clear bag and/or clutch purse into Nationals Park, this includes children.
To make the entering the stadium process as fast and easy as possible for everyone, visitors are encourage not to bring any bags into the stadium.
Approved Bags
The maximum size that a clear bag can be is 16" x 16" x 8".
Other approved bags include:
- 1 gallon plastic freezer bag
- Clutch bag no larger than 5" x 7" x ¾"
Fans are also allowed to bring in diaper or Medical bags, but they must use the ADA/Family lanes.
These lanes are located at the gates near Center Field and Home Plate.

Inspection Entering the Park
Visitors should be aware that all guests, bags, packages and other items are subject to inspection, including metal detection or other screening measures before entering the stadium.
Here, visitors will place their bag on the table for inspection, and visitors will then walk through a metal detector.
