In this guide, we will cover our everything that the Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures offer, to ensure that you arrive to the attraction extremely prepared, and know all of the 'hacks' to maximize your time and money.
What is the Boggy Creek Airboat Tour?
As one of the most unique experiences in Central Florida, the Boggy Creek Airboat Tour provides something that other attractions and theme parks simply can't.. A front row view through the Everglades.
The airboat tour provides different ride options for both the day & night.
The tour allows you and your party to glide through the water as you encounter wildlife such as gators, turtles & birds in their natural environments.
Although the name of this attraction is the Boggy Creek Airboat tour, it actually provides more than that.
It features its own 32 acre park where parkgoers can explore the different swamp related activities and sites. This is very popular among visitors as most navigate through the park while they wait for their tour time to arrive.
In this park you'll find a Gator Oasis, Native American Experience, Gem Mine, Swamp Shack and Tiki Bar. We will cover all of these below.
Different Tour Options
Daytime: 30 minutes & 1 hour
The daytime tours are also known as the Scenic Nature Tour.
Nighttime: 1 hour
This tour is also known as the Night Expedition Tour
What Does the Airboat Tour Include?
The Airboat tour and a Free admission to the park.
This tour will take you through the unaltered terrain of the central florida everglades. If you've never been on an airboat, the first aspect that will stick out to you is that unlike traditional boats, it will feel as you are gliding through the water rather than flowing with and at times against it.
Most tours can fit 15+ passengers. There are 3 rows of seats where you will have plenty of room and maximum visibility.
Unlike other boats, the captain is elevated and positioned by himself in the back of the boat.
This allows the captain to be able to see ahead, have a better view of wildlife in the water, and to not affect the views of passengers in the process.
The airboat can reach speeds of up to 45 miles per hour.
A US Coastguard inspected 17 passenger airboat. Life vests can be found under the seat and in the front of the boat. Children under 7 years old are required to wear a life vest.
Animals That You May See During the Tour
You may encounter the following - Gators, Bald Eagle's, unique birds, gopher tortoises, squirrel's and others!
Best Time to Go
The best time to see alligators is bright and early, as early as possible in the morning, as well as night time when it cools back down.
Native American Experience
The authentic Native American village replica features several rooms of members of a traditional Native American family. It is essentially a living history museum where a traditional family will showcase how the Jororo tribe lived centuries ago.
The demonstration will include showing and explaining different artifacts, how they lived, how they hunted, cooked, built tools & even built canoes.
When you walk into the park, on the left hand side you will immediately see alligators within distance behind an enclosure. Here you'll find dozens of gators in clear daylight tanning in the sun or swimming in the pond.
You'll also be able to get up close and personal with Florida's most notorious reptiles. The enclosure contains a few areas of glass (from top to bottom) to provide guests with maximum visibility. This is a very popular feature with younger visitors that aren't tall enough to see over the enclosure.
Photo Swamp Shack:
Visitors will be able to take photos while they try on 'Old Florida Outdoor Wear' ranging from overalls to camo clothing.
Get a refreshing cool drink before or after your tour.
Boggy Bottom BBQ - Part of the Park
Eating delicious Florida styled BBQ with a lake view, it is hard to get better than that. Visitors will be able to eat indoors or outdoors. This restaurant is open 7 days a week and some of the menu items include beef brisket and gator tail.
Gem Mine - Part of the Park
Infinite possibilities of finding precious gems & rare fossils in the 70 foot mine.
At an additional cost, visitors will be able to purchase bags full of items that are native to Florida.
From that point they bring it to the station in order to mine. In the process of mining, they can discover unique items such as shark and alligator teeth, rocks, gems and more!

What to Wear to This Tour?
If you're riding during the day make sure to bring sunscreen. You normally do not get wet during the ride, however Florida will always be Florida and it may randomly rain for minutes at a time while the sun is out.
If you're riding at night, make sure to bring a jacket. When traveling at speeds during nighttime, it is easier to become cold. Better safe than sorry!
